Our star ratings are based on the customer experience and our assessors are there to help you improve and grow rather than operating like old fashioned inspectors policing old fashioned rules.
Operators in Tourism and Hospitality sector will be familiar with the traditional star ratings in the sector, as will many customers, however, QIA Services has a whole different take on star ratings.
Having run star rating schemes for different national bodies as outsourced contracts, we are highly experienced with the problems with the national schemes, and even better acquainted with what the customer and the operator needs for the 21st century.
Star ratings work for Operators of any type of business that wants to provide a transparent and objective benchmark against competitors in their area or sector, in a way that their customers will instinctively understand.
Instead, we believe that as long as an operator is transparent and representative of their offering the property should not be prevented from achieving a grade based on an arbitrary tick-box exercise. This means operators are free to make commercial decisions without penalty, and we have many who have changed level under the new scheme and benefited from this.
The world recognises star ratings from 1 to 5 stars. QIA services operate a star rating scheme for between 3 and 5 stars. Anything below and we think you should focus on entry level accreditation, anything above is essentially just self-certified marketing, with no real credibility.
Our star ratings are awarded as 3, 4 or 5 stars at 3 different levels; Orange, Silver or Gold.
